1940's vintage solid silver bracelet -Siwa- Egypt
Large Solid Broad Siwa bracelet with astral and vegetal motifs typical of berber iconography.
Signed 'Mohamed El Mekkawy' in Arabic calligraphy on its inside.
Mohamed El Mekkawi was a very famous Bedouin silver smith who catered for the needs of Bedouins all the way from Sinai in Egypt to the Atlantic Ocean in Morocco.
Age : 1940's
Note: Stamped solid 800 silver.
